The Alta Badia is a famous valley in South Tyrol along the river Gadera.
Mostly populated by Ladin people, the valley crosses the Val Pusteria; The valley entrance is located in San Lorenzo di Sebato, at the confluence of the Gadera into the Rienza. The valley ends at the Passo Gardena, where it meets the valley. The upper part of the Badia-Valley is called Alta Badia-Valley and is an important tourist summer and winter sports area, part of the Dolomiti Superski.
